Why Remodel

Your Bathroom Should Work for You

If you've been dealing with a cracked tub, a shower that feels like it's from 1985, or a bathroom that's hard to use as you get older — we get it. We've torn out and rebuilt a lot of them. Here's what a remodel actually does for your home.

Safety & Accessibility

Low-threshold entries, built-in benches, and properly-anchored grab bars make daily life easier — and let you stay in your home longer.

Home Value

A fresh bathroom is one of the best ROI projects you can do. Buyers notice — appraisers do too. A well-built bath remodel pays you back when you sell.

Modern Design

Large-format tile, frameless glass, matte black or brushed nickel fixtures — today's options look great and last longer than the 80s build you've got.

Water Efficiency

New shower valves and toilets use a fraction of the water older fixtures do. Lower bills, less wear on the system, same comfortable shower.

Shower Options

Pick the Shower That Fits You

We work with multiple manufacturers and material suppliers — Kohler, Delta, Moen, American Standard, Schluter, Swanstone, and more — so you're not locked into one brand or one look. Here's what's possible.

Frameless glass walk-in shower with rain head

Frameless Glass Walk-In

$$ – $$$

Open, modern, easy to clean. Heavy tempered glass with minimal hardware — feels like a hotel.

Best for: master baths, modern remodels, anyone tired of curtain rings.

Semi-frameless sliding glass shower with acrylic wall panel

Semi-Frameless & Sliding

$$

A great middle-ground: cleaner look than full-framed enclosures, lower cost than frameless. Sliding doors save space.

Best for: hall baths, smaller footprints, mid-range budgets.

Custom tiled walk-in shower with large-format tile and bench

Custom Tiled Showers

$$$

Full tile floor-to-ceiling with a Schluter or KERDI waterproofing system underneath. Truly custom, lasts decades when done right.

Best for: homeowners who want it dialed in and built to last.

Tub-to-shower conversion with curbless walk-in entry

Tub-to-Shower Conversion

$$

Pull the old tub, build a roomy walk-in shower in its place. One of the most popular remodels we do for aging-in-place clients.

Best for: homes where the tub never gets used, or where stepping over the lip is getting hard.

Tub and shower combo with frameless sliding door

Tub/Shower Combo

$ – $$

Sometimes you want both — a tub for soaking and kids, a shower for everything else. New surrounds, tile, or acrylic panels.

Best for: family bathrooms, guest baths, resale value.

ADA-accessible shower with grab bars and built-in bench

Accessible & ADA-Style

$$ – $$$

Curbless entry, built-in bench, properly-blocked grab bar locations, hand-held shower head. Built so you can stay in your home.

Best for: aging-in-place, mobility needs, anyone planning ahead.

Wall & surround options: Ceramic, porcelain, natural stone (marble, travertine), large-format tile, and acrylic/composite panel systems (Swanstone, Onyx, Sterling) — we install all of them. We'll help you pick what fits your budget, your taste, and your maintenance tolerance.

Flooring

Bathroom Floors That Hold Up

Bathrooms are wet, busy, and where you stand barefoot at 6am. The floor needs to handle all of it. Here's what we install.

Porcelain tile bathroom floor

Porcelain & Ceramic Tile

$$ – $$$

The gold standard for bathroom floors. Waterproof, durable, endless styles — wood-look, stone-look, classic, modern.

ProsWaterproof, hard-wearing, huge selection
ConsCold underfoot (consider heated flooring)
Natural stone travertine bathroom floor

Natural Stone

$$$

Marble, travertine, slate. Each piece is unique. High-end look, especially in a master bath.

ProsPremium look, every floor unique
ConsNeeds sealing, softer materials can stain
Luxury vinyl plank wood-look bathroom flooring

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP/LVT)

$ – $$

Waterproof, warmer underfoot, looks like wood or stone. Great budget option that doesn't look budget.

ProsWaterproof, warm, easier on the budget
ConsLess prestige than tile/stone
Heated radiant floor in bathroom

Heated Flooring (Add-on)

$$ Add-on

Radiant heat mats installed under tile. Worth every penny on a cold winter morning. Pairs best with porcelain or stone.

ProsWarm floors, low operating cost
ConsUp-front cost, install only with new floor
Mosaic accent tile border on bathroom floor

Mosaic & Accent Tile

$$ – $$$

Borders, niches, feature walls, shower floors. A small mosaic detail can completely change the look of a bathroom.

ProsAdds personality, slip-resistant on shower floors
ConsMore grout lines = more cleaning
Large-format marble-look porcelain tile bathroom floor

Large-Format Tile

$$ – $$$

24" or larger porcelain tiles. Fewer grout lines means a cleaner look and easier maintenance. Modern and clean.

ProsModern look, less grout to clean
ConsSubfloor needs to be perfectly flat
Where to browse: Floor & Decor in Silverdale and Tacoma has a huge in-stock selection — walk in, look at samples in person, pick what you like. We'll bring samples to your consultation too if that's easier. Either way, you pick the look — we install it right.

Vanity Tops That Last

The vanity top is what you see first thing every morning. Here's what we install — pros, cons, and rough price tier so you can plan.

Quartz bathroom vanity countertop

Quartz (Engineered Stone)

$$ – $$$

Tons of colors, no sealing required, very durable. Brands: Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria, MSI Q. Our most-recommended bath top.

ProsNo sealing, stain-resistant, huge color range
ConsMid-to-high cost, less heat-tolerant than stone
Granite bathroom vanity countertop

Granite

$$ – $$$

Natural stone with one-of-a-kind patterns. Tough, classic, holds up to anything. Needs annual sealing in a wet bath.

ProsUnique patterns, durable, classic look
ConsPeriodic sealing needed
Marble bathroom vanity countertop

Marble

$$$

High-end, elegant, instantly recognizable. Best in powder rooms or low-traffic master baths — softer than granite.

ProsPremium look, timeless
ConsEtches with acid, needs sealing
Solid surface Corian bathroom countertop with integrated sink

Solid Surface (Corian)

$$

Seamless, repairable (you can sand out scratches), integrated sinks. Mid-range price, modern look.

ProsSeamless install, scratches buff out
ConsLess premium feel than stone
Modern laminate bathroom vanity top

Laminate

$

Modern laminate has come a long way — stone-look and wood-look options that read way better than the laminate you grew up with.

ProsEasiest on the budget, lots of styles
ConsNot as durable as stone, can chip at edges
Butcher block wood bathroom vanity top with vessel sink

Butcher Block / Wood (Specialty)

$$

Warm, unique, nice for powder rooms. Needs aggressive sealing for bathroom use — we'll talk through whether it's right for the space.

ProsUnique character, warm look
ConsSealing required, not ideal in heavy-use baths
How material gets sourced: We can pull from local stone yards in Tacoma and Kitsap County, or you can pick your slab in person at Floor & Decor or another supplier. If you find one you like, we'll measure, order, and install it.

Bryce and Tray have been phenomenal. I feel like communication is key when it comes to getting any major work done, ESPECIALLY when it's at my home. But it's safe to say these two men blew my expectations and were nothing short of great. Absolutely recommend and would do so time and time over again.
